We are family!
I've been having a great time using my Contax 645 and even gained some muscle carrying the "Big Boss" around :) I shot some color (Kodak 160NC - 220) and some b&w (Iford Pan F Plus - ISO 50... which I really enjoyed). It felt great getting out there after the long winter we had and seeing so much life! I think I'll start with the color ones, you can see some stuff I tried... still getting used to the different functions but I noticed an improvement as the frames progress, I'm getting more comfortable.

This is the view we have from a small parc about 10min away by car. Its off the shores of Montreal, overlooking Laval.

I really love this lens wide open such great DOF and smooth transition :)

My street!

Took it to work and shot my co-worker Sophie...
and Sonia. They are really great to work with and also two very talented graphic designers.

And so mother's day came and took the opportunity to snap a couple of frames... since I don't see my mother and sister very often :)

I love it when she smiles like this... after all she went through, she still has that radiant smile!

My Sis and her husband...

And of course the happy bunch... Being that the Contax is a little intimidating, I always try to crack a joke before snapping...kind of helps to forget you have this monster pointed at you.

Can't forget my dead dog... with her favorite bone, I swear she can play with that thing for hours.

So I finally decided it was time to shoot some real-out-door-city-life thing. If you are familiar with Montreal, you know that we have this place "Parc du Mont-Royal" where people gather every Sunday to play the Tam Tams. That's why we call it "Les Tam Tams" just like "Le Big Mac" :) Its a great place, very peaceful... all kinds of different people... together just having a good time and enjoying every second of our short (bu strangely getting longer) Summers.

I even saw Bruce Lee!

And every age demographic you can think of.

Even a News channel thought it would be worth it!

There's a moment...when all the drummers get in sync and it just feels like the citie's heart starts beating again... stronger and stronger, faster and faster... its really something to experience.

No stress whatsoever...

And in the middle of it all an angel... protecting us from above. I know, cheesy but its kind of true. So enough with the colors...time for some b&w.

I've never seen Bruce Lee do this though :)

I mean here...everybody is part of the same family.

And any instrument is accepted...
As long as you feel the groove!

And you're young at heart!

This guy hasn't missed one since the beginning of the whole movement.

Even dogs get down to it!

I wonder how that shot came out! I think he was using a Bessa R... not sure.

A great vibe all around... a great place to shot and get inspired :)

Sometimes, if you're lucky, you get a good spot...

Try to see how many people are shooting :)

This place lives in me now!

Everything is possible here!

Well that's pretty much it! I have some more stuff I want to shoot, I hope I get the time soon.

Hope you're all having some great weather and enjoying your weekend!
Take care!

Thats good stuff, my friend. I was in Athens, Greece, during Carnival season and this stuff went on all that month in the streets and plazas... it was just great to take in the atmosphere there. You did an amazing job capturing it here! Thank you!
